Big Boy Bed

Sean used to go to sleep in his crib so easy. We kiss Dad goodnight, get teeth brushed, read some books, mom would sing some lullabys and then Sean would get in his crib and silently go to sleep.

A couple of weeks ago this all changed. Sean started crying for 10 minutes after I left him. And after a couple days of that, he learned how to climb out of his crib. This started a couple of nightmare weeks of getting him asleep, since we were unprepared for this. We ordered Sean a twin over full bunk bed right away and waited for it to come. It was hard to get him to get to sleep in our bed, and a day after the climbing out, he learned how to open doors.

But now he's in his big boy bed. He helped us pick out the bedspread, as you can see. We donated the sofa to a christian organization that gives food and furniture to families of military. Some of the men that come back from Iraq have bad injuries, and no furniture.

Dear Dad

Will you teach me to play basketball? Everytime I go by the big boys playing mom has to take me kicking and screaming away from them. She tells me I'm not old enough to play with them. I think they would love to play with me! I'm sure I could dunk with just a little help.
with love,
Sean

root barrier

On the back of our property our neighbors planted trees a couple inches from the fence. These trees have grown to be a great privacy wall, but are also a notorious tree for causing foundation problems with their roots. The neighbors have also been lazy on cutting the tops so we can have a view. So we had a root barrier put into the dirt area in the back, so we can grow some bamboo. Then when we get it up to a point of privacy, we will have the neighbors to cut down the trees. Hopefully we get cooperation.

mowing the lawn

It speaks for itself

A new change in our yard!

We decided to build a new wall where our previous one was. Our old wall worked, but wasn't pretty. Now we have a good looking wall, done by a surfing buddy of Aaron's that does masonary for a living.

pizza making

We started making our own pizza lately rather than getting takeout. Sean loves to help, and I think it tastes better anyway! In the video I'm trying to get Sean to say Pizza, I love how he says it, he says "Poop - wa"!

another trip to the zoo

I used to think that Sean was part monkey, but after seeing this, maybe he's part elephant. Sean also likes to get as dirty as possible when outside...

I haven't seen a peacock show it's feathers in years. Sean could care less...

Cute things Sean is doing

Sean calls his pacifier "boppa" Here he is giving his beloved boppa to his bear

Brushing Duckies teeth, er, or beak

I was making lunch while Sean went outside and crawled in his water table

Sean loves to help with the vacumn.

Sean likes to talk, when he knows the words to use or not. Here he is talking about his police car

Sean learned how to say night night today. Before his nap he wanted to play in his crib. He started laying down all of his critters and telling them "night night" of course I got the camera too late.

Quail Botanical Gardens

Every Wednesday the Botanical gardens sets up a craft area for the kids. Sean painted his first picture EVER! other then tasting the paint, I think we both had a fun day.
