Its the little questions, moments and details that make life what it is. Like whose night is it to put the kids to sleep/brush their teeth or Why is Casey Anthony starying minutes from where my kids were at Legoland today? ( Mary Ann told me Good Morning America was at the theme park earlier this morning before she arrived according to other park visitors). Maybe something as simple as how did my son get his lips so blue from that eating that popsicle or how is my daughter so incredibly cute with her pink baby stroller and can I please stop time right now and enjoy this moment for eternity.
In addition to these small life details today there were three other vivid and memorable moments as always tends to be the case when you are the parent of squirrelly, adventurous toddlers and here they are for you to enjoy:
The first happened when Sean was crying/whining over what looked to be stubbed toe he got from swim practice. While crying frantically he agreed to wash it and somehow I could no longer see the bloody area as it was gone minutes later to which he told me, “My body just sucked up all the blood and that’s why it disappeared”. We put a band aid on it and dubbed it the "magic toe".
The second moment occurred when I went out in backyard in the afternoon to play/garden with the kids and watched a bee suck nectar from the banana flower in my yard (sorry no pic of the bee b/c it flew away, maybe I’ll try tomorrow for the pic if the bee comes back for its daily banana nectar yum)
The third and final moment was the new addition to our dinner prayer which Sean has graciously added to our daily grace each night. Only a four year old can make being thankful for a microwave or barbecue sound cute. Whats even better is the objects/food change each night according to his latest interests/flavors. Never a dull moment around the Fernandes house.
