Luau videos

Here is a little taste of the Luau we went to last night. Amazing theatrics, singing, lighting, and overall performance.

Coco palms

Apparently this run down hotel was made famous by Elvis back in the 50's/60's. As you can see by the pics it is now a run down transient paradise and hard to imagine it being anything that inspired a vision of more romantic times of the past

Kauaian Luau

Last night we took the kids to a traditional hawaiian Luau at an old sugar plantation. Before the Luau we went on a train ride around the plantation. Sean and Sarah loved the train ride particularly when we stopped to feed the wild pigs and goats. Mary Ann and I both agreed that it was by far the best Luau we had ever attended. Rather than just sing and dance it had a theatrical feel to it where they told a story throughout with an incredible almost Cirque de Soleil feel to it. One of those moments that you know your kids will remember forever and it really embodied the aloha spirit that we have found to be so prevalent here on Kauai. Video clips of the Luau soon to follow.

Sean went from not wanting to put his head in the water, to being a fish and loving it! His favorite thing to do is go in our hot tub and show me how he can glide, see underwater and how long he can hold his breathe.
