Christmas in Las Vegas

We all had fun in Vegas for Christmas. Aaron's parents, Molly's family, my Mom and Dad and of course Mike's family all celebrated together. A lot of people, and a lot of presents. We went to a jam packed Christmas Mass, ate turkey, went to the strip, watched a couple of movies and gambled. All in a cold desert, which had a good amount of snow in the passes.

Jingle Bells

Everytime Sean hears Jingle Bells, he runs to the tree and gets the bells off the tree so he can shake along with the song....

All about the Trucks

Our Tree produce this year

I'm a little late doing this post, but this is just some of the Cherimoya crop we had this year.

Museum Day

Every first Tuesday of each month, the museums of Balboa park are free. Sean is really getting interested in choo choo's so we went to the Model Train Museum and then went to the Natural History Museum.

Sean meets Santa

Tis the season. The day after Thanksgiving Sean helped me put up the christmas tree. I've gotten a lot of questions where I got my tree, "why, my closet!" We've had this tree since 2000 and it is still perfect. I quickly found out that most of the decorations will need to be at least 3' or higher. Sean has a couple of ornaments to take off and on, and I'm finding some random toys and things in the bottom part of the tree.

when we got in line, Sean wanted to race up to see Santa. I thought he'll do great on his lap, but once he got on his lap, he started crying. He did much better than his 2 friends. One wouldn't be in the same room as Santa, and the other wouldn't sit on his lap. Maybe next year he'll keep his composure enough to tell Santa what he wants.

Afterward they all sat down to have their gingerbread man lollipops that Mrs. Claus gave them. They were all so brave.

Happy Thanksgiving

We were so busy playing on the beach and eating turkey, that we didn't take any pictures of Thanksgiving. Molly took a lot of pictures, hopefully I can get some from her. Here is a picture of Sean in a knotty tree. He's 16 months now!

Improvements to our house

We had some improvements to our house. The first one was getting a king size bed. I had heard of "memory foam" mattresses, but just figured they were a gimmick. Actually they feel wonderful! we got a mattress with 3 inches on the top of memory foam and the bed has a 20 yr warranty, so it should sag. We love it!

The next thing is that we got a guy to fix our wall where our old built in entertainment center was upstairs. We moved the desk over to that wall. It looks a lot cleaner, no printer and moniter sticking up over the ledge. Sean is starting to climb, and we were worried if we left him alone, he might climb up on the desk and right over the edge.

And the final thing is I figured out that we have plenty of space in our cabinets, and we don't need the ugly pantry in our kitchen. So the boys dismantled it and it's gone! Sean really want's to help me cook, so I think Sean may get a play kitchen from Santa, and that will go in this new empty space!

A day at the beach

It's still pretty warm and sunny in San Diego. Bikini's in November! Here is Sean sporting mom's sunglasses

Halloween Playgroup

Sean's playgroup had their Halloween party today. We didn't think all the kiddos would pose for a picture, so we had mom's keep them in oneplace. I was the designated picture taker of course so I'm not in the picture, but he's with Haley's mom in the front.

Halloween Parade at Dad's School!

Sean and I drove down to Aaron's school today so Sean could watch the Halloween parade. Sean walked by himself into Aaron's classroom, and even though Aaron was dressed up like tigger, he ran right to him with a smile.

Sean also had a big smile and enjoyed leading dad's class around the parade!

Sean's laptop

Sean LOVES electronics. Especially dad's laptop. We were starting to get worried that our computers would start to get ruined if we didn't have an alternative to give him. We got a vtech laptop for 20 bucks and he loves it. Now mom and dad get the cold shoulder from Sean when we try to touch his computer!

Sean's Costume

We borrowed the dragon from the next door neighbor who had this costume last year. Sean loves it and doesn't want to take it off, even though it's like wearing a heavy jacket in summer like weather here. I tried to show him how to growl like a dragon, but he wouldn't have it, he just smiles....our friendly dragon.

Library Day costume day

On Tuesday they have a song and book reading at the library. This week was special because everyone dressed up in their costumes.... Sean pointed out all the jack-o-lantern costumes to me.

Pumpkin Carving

Sean loved making the jackolantern. Now he points out every one we see. Every night we would go outside when it got dark and light it. We had to throw it out before halloween though, it got to mushy.

Open House at the Fire house

s

Sean started clapping when he saw that we were going to the Firehouse. The fire engine has been the easiest emergency vehicle to teach Sean since it's so big and distinct. Sean wanted to stay here all day....
