zoo day

It was so hot today, but we decided to go to the zoo with Sean's playgroup to take advantage of their shade. Too bad the shade was about as hot as the non-shade. The animals were either in the water or sitting and wishing they were in the water, as we were all wishing we were in the water.....lucky otters.

The dog days of spring

We have had a heat wave this weekend. Sean and I got in our spa to cool off. We have our spa set to around 85 degrees so he can go in. He loves feeling the bubbles and standing in the shallow spot. After about 15 min he's done and then a quick shower and milk for the hungry lil' swimmer.

Tryin' to walk

Here is Sean trying to walk. At most he's taken 3 steps by himself. This is only one step, it's hard to get the video footage of this event since it's so rare. Sean is very good at standing without help, I've seen him stand for more than a minute. I'm sure he'll get better with walking in a couple of weeks!

Sean and I saw a helicopter land today!

Their was a shark attack today off of the Solana Beach coast (1 mile N of Del Mar). Put a 22inch bite into a 66 yr old veternarian and killed him. The coast gaurd, lifegaurds and sherriffs had their helicopters out in full gear trying to find the shark. We had a playdate in Encinitas by the ocean and got to see the sheriff's helicopter land. I guess last time San Diego had a shark attack was in the early 90's.

Kickin back

Sean is a laid back boy. One foot up when he eats. We are trying to teach manners, but I think he thinks it's a game to put his foot back up on his tray.

Sean had his 9 month checkup today. He's 21.8 lbs which is 70%, 29.5 inches which is 90%, and 18 inch head circumferance, 70%. He's a healthy kid!!!

Sean is 9 Months today!

Sean turned 9 months today, so I thought I should take some pictures of him.

Here is Sean flexing, showing his guns. He gets a stress mark on his forehead when he does this, maybe he needs to take some baby yoga.

5k Walk for Parkinson's

We all walked\strolled for Parkinson's on Saturday. A lot of people turned out and last we heard they raised about 130k. It was a nice walk, in an area of San Diego that they are redeveloping. They are going to put a Nickalodean Theme Park in the area, for one more attraction to San Diego.

Our bulbs are sprouting

I planted some dalia's and gladiolas when my parents were visiting around valentine's day. They are all popping up now. I'll send another pic out when they actually have the flowers

I said one book for bedtime!

Hugabaloo at the mall

Sean and I met a playfriend at the mall today to listen to Hugabaloo. This guy just comes with his guitar and sings nursery rhymes but he is a hit with all the kiddos.

Trouble

Sean learned today the wonderful fun of toilet paper. I find it amusing now, I'm sure I won't when he continues to do it and tries eating it :(

Sean's Favorite Toy

I think Sean will be good with computers when he grows up. He has such a fascination with them. Here he is right before dad was foolish and let him touch his keyboard. We are still trying to figure out how to get the capslock key back on

Zoo Day

Today we met up with Lori and her friend Marci for a day at the zoo. 4 kids, 2 on the way, 3 strollers.... we had a nice slow stroll, first time Aaron and I weren't tired when we left.

The highlight was the Polar bears. I have always wondered why they showed underwater for the polar bears, because I've never seen them swim, but this time one was swimming. He was quite a swimmer and came right by the window....too bad we didn't get a picture, we were to busy holding up the kiddos .

Lori and the kids come to town

Lori came to our house today after their long drive for some playtime for the kids and dinner before checking into their hotel. Lori brought her friend Marci with her 18 month old Lila. Here is Sean putting on the moves.... Devin has hair now! So does Keira!!!
Anne and Emma showed up for dinner after their long day at Legoland on their way home....
The plugged men, partners in crime....
