Sean is Talking!!!

Sean has started using some sign language and talking!!! He now does the sign for "all done" although he uses it for all sorts of situations, whether he's done or not. He also waves goodbye with both hands. He seems to understand when to use the goodbye wave.

He's also saying a couple words. Bubble was the first word, followed by Boon for Balloon and Bye Bye. He really enjoys pointing to the hot air balloons that come over our house, and so I took him to the zoo to go on the sky tram. Right now he thinks helicopters, airplanes and skytrams are "Boons" too.

Sean has Croc's

Sean and I went to the mall to buy Croc's for him. I needed a shoe that could get wet and also be easy to put on and off. It's getting too hot on the pavement for him to go barefoot. Here he is sporting his new shoes playing by the Dolphin display at the mall

Playgroup Beach day

Sean and I went to the beach for playgroup. A paraglider got lost and landed at the beach. He flew off, but came back. I think he ended up packing up his gear and trekking it back to the glider launch zone 5 miles south.

Fun in the sun

We met up with some friends at the beach that have a kid Sean's age. Mary Ann got to go in the water and boogie board, while Sean liked to sit by the shore and play in the sand and have the waves occasionally get him wet.

Aaron's Barambou Instrument

Aaron for his birthday wanted a few instruments that would be fun to have around the house. He got a Barambou, which is an instrument played in Brazil while acrobats do capoeira. He's still learning, but this is what it looks and sounds like.

Sean playing with his truck

Sean has found a lot of fun on making thing fall. His latest thing that he likes to do is take his blue truck and make it fall off of the furniture, or I guess "cliffs". He doesn't even bother getting the truck to roll off on it's own as you see.

Sean is 1

Sean likes: popsicles, going outside, swings, going to bed, milk, car rides, having Dad come home, playing with his grandparents, going to gym or music class, beef stroganoff, books with flaps, helping mom with the dishwasher, fruit smoothies, swimming, slides and dogs.

shower time

Sean and I were envited to Jake's housing complex pool today. The boys liked the pool, but LOVED the shower to wash off. Jake's mom and I decided next time we'll put the lounge chairs by the shower and just have them play in their.....

Sunday Concerts at the park

We invited Nana and Grandpa up for dinner and a concert at the park. It was a great family place. We also saw up in the sky a birthday message. Sean has started noticing the hot air balloons that go over our house. He points to them with his whole hand and starts talking up a storm, like he's telling us all about it.

water fun

Sean's playgroup had a pool outing on friday. One of the mom's house complex basically has a waterpark for the neighborhood! Sean and I had a lot of fun

Sean's first birthday party

we are a couple weeks early for Sean's birthday, but we wanted to make it a family party, and since my parents were in town we had it now. Molly was so great to host it, I thought Molly's house would be Sean's favorite place for a party since he loves to swim.

We had Kareoke, and I don't think any of us will quit our day jobs, swimming, BBQ, presents and cake. Sean raised the plate with the cake up to his face and went at it, he loved it!

Seaworld and a dinner to celebrate my Dad's birthday

We went to Seaworld with Grandma and Grandpa O'Leary. This went on his first amusement park ride!

The first day Grandma and Grandpa were here Sean and I went up to Escondido to the animal park and there friends Ann and Bob came along. They have a little water area for the kids, Sean's the little one in his diapers.
After the Animal park we went to the beach that evening. Aaron gave me a surf lesson and I stood up once, and Sean enjoyed running around on the beach.

Tuesday Sean and I went to our gym class and Grandma and Grandpa watched. Sean came over every 10 minutes or so to make sure they were watching and cheer.

Happy 4th!

We met up with Eric and the kids and Anne and Adrian for a celebration for the 4th at the park. They had a parade where we walked through the streets, played on the playground, had cake and ice cream and the band The Corvette's played. It was a fun time. Sean wasn't into sitting in the fire engine by himself, but was okay with mom holding him.

Family Reunion at the Beach

Aaron's mom's brother and wife and Aaron's Grandpa met us at the beach up in Orange county for a day of fun. Sean is checking out the sand crabs Tyler caught in the bucket.
