Holiday Bowl Parade

We went to the Holiday Bowl Parade this morning. it was a nice and relaxing morning and to top it off went of the trolley to get downtown which excited Sean.

The star wars people will followed by a "Dark Stewie" balloon.

Jack was the grand Marshall, Jack in the Box is operated out of San Diego
This pirate ship was going around the bay which was neat to watch. We saw men climb up to the top rafters and open and close sails, as well as it let out a couple of cannon booms with smoke coming out.

The game is between Arizona and Nebraska. Nebraska brought their cheerleaders, but not their band. Here is a video of Arizona's marching band.

Christmas Day

Sean woke up and barely let us get up before he was running downstairs. We showed him how the stockings were down and he emptied his stocking until he found a matchbox trash truck. He was perfectly content at this point. We showed him their was one more and took a break to take showers and make coffee. Then we reminded him he had presents under the tree. He was a little in shock to find out he had more trash trucks! He opened 2 big ones and got right to playing. When it was time to go to Aunt Molly's Sean told his he wanted to stay home. A 20 minute car ride of whining we could tell he was already tired. We had a ton of presents and I think all of the cousins got their dreams of presents met.

Sean opened all of his presents and then said he wanted to go home. He's glanced at his other toys, but he's been loading his trash trucks all day. He informed me he won't share his trash trucks. I told him today he doesn't need to share and tomorrow we'll talk about sharing. I never knew how deep his love for trash trucks went!

Christmas Eve Dinner at Nana and Grandpa's

We had a great ham dinner with scalloped potatoes at Anne and Adrians. We also got to meet Eric's girlfriend Ki Ki and celebrated her birthday on Christmas Eve. She fit into the family great. Then a tired Sean opened one present with his cousins and went off to bed. When we got into the car Sean told Aaron and I " Sean is so happy!" melted our hearts, (especially since this was before he opened presents!)

Visiting relatives at Grandpa Gil's house

We had a busy Christmas Eve with a morning drive up to Orange County to see Grandpa Gil and Uncle Ted and Aunt Kris and Patricks family. After brunch and running wild we thought Sean would be worn out, but naptime was only for the 40 min ride home.
We had a

Sean meets Santa

Aunt Molly had a Christmas party and to all of the kids surprise Santa came! I had coached Sean all this month on getting up on his lap and telling him what he wanted. As soon as Santa sat down Sean jumped up on his lap. The kids sang a song and then he went right into telling Santa what he wanted. He told him that he wanted a trash truck that picked up black trash, a trash truck that picked up blue trash and a trash truck that picked up green trash. I think Santa was a little overwhelmed by the trash truck fetish!

Christmas Cookies

Sean helped me decorate cookies and roll the dough in cinnamon for snickerdoodles. We had a lot of fun and brought the snickerdoodles to his playgroup cookie exchange.

Train Expo

Every December the fairgrounds has a train expo and Sean loves all of the train set ups.

One of the booths is a car race. 6 people get remote controls and race a car and they can keep track of who is ahead and gets to 20 laps first. Sean played 2 races and came in 1st place both times! It made the 8 year old next to him very upset to lose to a toddler.

Legoland with the Fam

The boys could have stayed in mini legoland all day....

This was the family fire truck race. It was Lori, Mary Ann and Sean against Mike, Keira and Devin. Out of the 4 firetrucks, Lori, Mary Ann and Sean came in first. A total surprise to me since I was pregnant and not able to work too hard. But now looking at the pictures, Lori and her competitive spir

Playball

One of Sean's favorite classes is Playball. A lot of our playgroup friends are in it so that makes it even more enjoyable.
